Macro Evaluates Plant Expansion
Macro Engineering & Technology Inc. from Mississauga, Ontario is evaluating a plant expansion project that would add 33,000 sq.ft (representing a 50% increase) to is existing facility. The intention is to initiate and complete the expansion in 2006.
The decision was made after business increased by 30% during 2005 and is projected to increase by an additional 30% in 2006. "This is an exiting time for our company," stated Macro Engineering's President Mirek Planeta. "We are talking about a 70% sales increase within two years for our advanced coextrusion and specialty film equipment."
The new space would not only support the 70% sales increase but also include a 60 ft high bay facility for pre-shipment testing of even the largest blown film lines, as well as a controlled access testing facility for projects requiring confidentiality and protection of customers' proprietary technology and intellectual property.
