Macro Ships a BXL-7160 Line to Korea
Macro Engineering shipped a 7-layer, 1.6 meter wide blown barrier film line in December 2003 to the company Rollpack Co., Ltd. in Korea. The line is designed to produce 1.6 meter wide barrier films from 35 to 250 microns using PA, EVOH, PP and polyolefins.
At the heart of the line is a 7-layer MacroPack die with Advanced Multilayer Technology (AMT). The AMT provides the flexibility to produce different structure combinations of PA, EVOH, PP and polyolefins.
For the production of high quality finished rolls, the line includes a horizontal oscillating nip as well as two Automax-T center turret winders with taper tension and gap winding. The winders include cantilevered airshafts to eliminate the handling of heavy shafts by the operators.
For optimized startup and process control, the line includes Macro's SUPERCOM 9000 supervisory and control system. The current version of the system allows an operator to recall a recipe, setup the line, and startup the line by pressing only four buttons on a touch screen.
